Thanks for stopping by! I’m Kenny, the DJ behind Sound Storm DJ Service, and I want to share a bit of my heart and why I do what I do.

How It All Started. Ever since I was young, I’ve loved being around people, making them laugh, and bringing joy wherever I could. My first gig as a DJ happened almost by accident—a band didn’t show up at a local bar, and suddenly, I was playing cassette tapes and eight tracks. Seeing people respond enthusiastically that night sparked something inside me. From there, my passion for connecting with people through music grew even stronger, fueled by my background in theater and radio.

Why I Love What I Do: I’ve been behind the decks for over 25 years now, primarily serving the Central Minnesota area, and nothing energizes me more than feeling the vibe of a room, seeing faces light up, or noticing subtle smiles and nods that tell me, “Yeah, this is it!” It’s those quiet clues—heads turning or feet tapping—that inspire me to craft each moment uniquely for every celebration.

Every Detail Matters. My work begins long before the first song plays. I start by understanding your preferences and getting a feel for your unique style. Then, I take the time to visit your venue, ensuring every detail—from sound clarity to setup—perfectly complements your event. Whether it’s a wedding ceremony, a milestone party, or a corporate gathering, I’m dedicated to making every moment resonate, from the first note to the final song.
